Delta Air Lines and their North American Joint Venture partners KLM, Air France and Alitalia recently hosted their top Canadian producers to a very swish Gala Awards Dinner & Partner Appreciation event at the Royal Ontario Museum. The entire evening cocktail and dinner portion of the event had a carefully crafted black and white theme – including suggested black & white attire; decor and table settings. The clean stark lines contrasted perfectly with the private tour DL arranged for the Chihuly Exhibit which they have sponsored at the ROM. The exuberant colours and wildly creative concepts of Chihuly’s installations were also reflected in the 4 course dinner which was full of brilliant splashes of colour. Even the gift bags were specially created for the evening with contents personally selected for each individual guest.

That kind of thing doesn’t just happen. Kudo’s to the folks from Delta who pulled it all off with a low key flare as if it had been no trouble at all. Judging from the lively noise level during the cocktail reception and the enthusiastic selfies throughout the Chihuly exhibit, guests thoroughly enjoyed connecting with each other and their hosts.

Jennie Ho, Managing Director
Specialty Sales & Canada for DL thanked all of the agencies for their
support noting that they appreciate they have chosen to do business with DL and its partners
– they recognize that they are not always the obvious choice. She referenced the big red player that
everyone has to do business with and says that makes DL work harder to compete
for their business amid very aggressive pricing.

Award winners were all individually recognized and presented with plaques celebrating their achievements. Recipients were: Tour East Holidays – Canada; Voyages à la Carte; TravelBrands; Huntington Travel/Flight Network; Flight Centre; Vision Voyages/Travel; SkyLink Travel Inc.; Royal Scenic Holidays; SkyLink Voyages Inc.; Merit Travel Group; SkyRoute Travel Services; Airliners; Worldview Travel (Canada) Inc.; Maritime Travel & Jade Tours.
