Where were you born? In Cornerbook, Newfoundland.

How long have you been in the business? Since 1994 when I started as an airport rep for Conquest in Halifax. Early mornings, late nights, delayed flights with Royal, we did it all!

How many people work for you? 10, including 7 sales managers.

What's the best part of the job? The travel - I travel at least once a month and it can be quite varied – for example this month I'm in Saskatoon and next month it will be India!

What did you want to be as a kid? A police officer. I studied criminology and to this day I love watching cop shows.

Any guilty pleasures? Wine! Red wine!

Favourite hotel? The Fairmont chain in general and the Chateau Frontenac in particular.

What's on your iPad? Magic puzzles – they are my new addiction! And books.

What do people not know about you? That I love playing sports, especially soccer and volleyball, and I love watching sports too. I watched this year's Superbowl with 7 guys!

When were you happiest? When I was promoted to my new position, just over a year ago.

What skill or talent do you admire in someone? People who can sing. I wish!

Is there anything you won't eat? Liver.

What's your favourite airline? Air France, for the comfort, service – and sexy-sounding pilots!

What's at the top of your bucket list? Egypt.

Ever had a brush with fame? I once ran into [author and film director] Michael Moore in an elevator!

What keeps you awake at night? My to do list.

What is your greatest extravagance? Shoes and purses. And yes, I've been to Canal Street in New York.

Who do you most admire in the industry? Robbie Goldberg. He's a smart man who knows the industry inside and out.

If you could change one thing about the industry what would it be? Discounting.

If you could sit next to anyone on a long-haul flight, who would it be? Michael Jordan. And being Michael Jordan, that means we'd be in first class, for sure!

Do you have a favourite charity? Anything to do with cancer.

What will be the biggest challenge for the industry in the next 12 months? The economy.

What do you hope to be doing in 10 years? Retired and running a little beach bar in... um.... Anguilla!
