Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

I'm So Digi-blown By This (Not)

In the ‘get over yourself’ department – a group of über-digital dudes have made up a word dahrlings (who does that?). It’s ‘digilution’ – used in the context of the digilution of travel. I think it refers to the digital revolution of 1996.

I’ve got a digit for these guys. They are organizing an entire conference dedicated to this phenom. Hello! Read research much? For online travel, we are dealing with a digidrooping, dahrlings. According to travel consultancy firm, T2Impact, online travel has reached a saturation point. God knows I’ve had enough of it. Two of the largest markets – Germany and Japan – will have growth rates below 2%. Their message is “This should be a wakeup call all those who are bullish on the long term growth of the sector.”

These dueling digispectives give one pause, don’t you think? Personally, I like to know if I’m dealing with a growing or a flopping situation where one is forced on occasion to resort to some digitization. Which I’m not entirely opposed to.

And on that note, I’d like to blow each and every Pumpkin a valentine kiss!
