Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

I Didn't See That One Coming

I will admit I did not see Encore coming. WesJet’s naming of the regional by employees could have been a disaster. (It’s a wonder it didn’t end up being called Tweetums or Captain Underpants.) Encore is a sensible, if slightly used, appellation. Has anyone in Calgary heard of a certain cruise wholesaler by the same name?

And to those of you who didn’t see Michael Friisdahl’s AC coronation coming, I say, who else? You need someone with a pretty tall tiller to take over after Zeina, plus run an LCC. And at least he won’t have to fly across the pond every time he gets called to the red carpet.

Let’s face it, dahrlings, keeping a Friisdahl out of travel is like keeping a Trudeau out of politics. It’s in their semen. (The Hunters already have the next generation of travel impresarios in position. I bet those kids could pad margins before they were potty trained.) I really should have bred. A bevy of Gabbalot babes is just what travel needs.
