Harmonizing the passenger experience as well as handling sales, groups and service for AF, KL and AZ in Canada is a major work in progress. But the team led by General Manager Sales, Adeline Piekham-Hsieh, is on pace and taking it all in stride.
An even larger task is coordinating international services for the 16 SkyTeam members: SU, AR, AM, L9, AF, AZ, CI, MU, CZ, OK, DL, KQ, KL, KE, RO & VN.
Many of the Canadian AF/KL/AZ members and top agent partners were recently invited to enjoy Air France’s new Premium Voyager meal service during a luncheon and presentation at catering partner, Gate Gourmet’s facilities near YYZ. The upgraded economy service is now being offered on all AF flights worldwide.
Adeline, Fabien Pelous, Vice President & General Manager, and Karan Deswal, Director Stations AF/KL Canada, also took the opportunity to showcase SkyTeam's new SkyPriority service and to officially open the renamed Air France KLM Lounge at YYZ Terminal 3.
The new red SkyPriority identity is now consistent across all SkyTeam partners’ airport signage around the world. All of the 16 airline members now sport the easily spotted bold red logo – at all check-in areas, on boarding cards and in mobile messages.
“We are delighted to feature the SkyPriority services in all our Canadian stations including Toronto. The worldwide harmonized service is a tangible example of the power of the SkyTeam Alliance,” commented Fabien Pelous.
The opening of the Air France KLM Lounge was a symbolic ceremony and a chance to remind industry partners that their lounge is indeed a very special place. The spacious 150-seat area has been known as the KLM Crown Lounge for several years. Access to the lounge is free of charge for all AF/KL/SkyTeam Business Class and Elite Plus passengers. Subject to availability, the lounge is also accessible to all T3 international zone pax for a $34 fee. The lounge has expansive views of the runways as well as ample complimentary beverages and snacks, including Heineken on draft and always popular, fresh, hot samosas. The large lounge area has been cleverly divided into separate areas for TV viewing, snacking, working and relaxing.
Airline travel may be burdened with more processing than in the past, but an elegant relaxed experience prior to departing on a world class airline, can still be achieved – and is possible for everyone – at YYZ’s Air France KLM Lounge.
