Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

Just A Little Off The Top

What do cruise ships and hair salons have in common, Pumpkins? About as much as tour operating and tires*. But apparently, when an ex-travel person eschews consulting, these options are next on the list.

For instance, Celebrity’s celebrity CEO, Dan Hanrahan, just resigned to go to Supercuts. Honest to Betsy, dahrlings. And not a word about “wanting to spend more time with the family.” It’s not like he even needs free haircuts – a pair of tweezers would do. Perhaps it’s the idea of hobnobbing with America’s $1 a cut crowd.

I suppose after years of lobster thermidor, a bit of hot dog is nice. But like I always told my husband, you don’t have to marry the girl! Have your free trim and come home to my well upholstered suite.

It also sets a very bad example for today's young people. Here we are bending overboard to attract them to travel, and a guy at the top of his game drops out and becomes a coiffeur. Oh, Dan.

*You may recall in a previous episode I revealed that Nancy Jackson moved to Kitchener to take over the family tire shop.
