CNN has a wrapped a frenzy around U.S. Senator Rockefeller's statement that cruise ships are too big. And there you have it. Too big. Compared to what? Your EGO, Mr. Rockefeller? I bet that’s got some extra ballast.
I’ve seen it before. People who have plazas named after them believe themselves to be nautical authorities.
Do I run around making proclamations about scientific particulars just because I once dated a hick bozo, Pumpkins? And if this God spot he found is so revolutionary let me tell you – I know where he got the inspiration. Say no more.
Point is, CNN has a royal hate on for big ships and it’s damaging to the cruising business. So I’m wondering – doesn’t Carnival Corp. own everything? And doesn’t MSC’s Senor Aponte own everything else? Couldn’t Micky and Gianluigi bend someone’s ear? So to speak. Perhaps a few noses and knuckles? (Gianluigi, amore, next time you’re shipping a load of gold or something this way, come up and see me. You’ll find me to be quite an experienced cruiser.)
And another thing. Nobody’s running around saying A380’s are “too big.” Have you seen those suckers?
