TravelBrands Launches Platform for Vacation Rental Bookings

TravelBrands announced on 06JUL that it has completed an integration to go live with NextTrip, opening access to search, discover, and book vacation rentals through NextTrip’s cloud-based booking engine, ConNextions. TravelBrands’ network of over 22,000 travel agents and their customers will now be able to book from ConNextions global inventory of vacation and alternative lodging rental (ALR) properties.

NextTrip’s ConNextions supports instant confirmation of ALR reservations, allowing TravelBrands’ travel agents the power to simultaneously book complete travel packages, including air, car, and tours, instead of "waiting hours or even days for confirmation," which the company says is the norm in the vacation rental market.

“Expanding our portfolio of high-quality travel products with innovative booking solutions is at the heart of our operations,” commented Nathalie Tanious, COO of TravelBrands. “With NextTrip’s diverse selection of distinctive properties at great price points, we’re able to meet the standards that TravelBrands stands by. The capability for travel agents to fulfill the reservation process in one easy step further elevates the way travel is booked, benefitting both the agent and their clients.”

The connection to TravelBrands leverages NextTrip’s integration with Trisept Solutions, a subsidiary of Apple Leisure Group, technology for travel merchandising and distribution solutions.

NextTrip’s President and COO Tim Sikora said: “We are excited to have TravelBrands as a ConNextions distribution partner. This partnership represents a major growth milestone for the ConNextions product. By combining our industry-changing technology and sizeable vacation rental inventory with TravelBrands’ advanced travel reservation platforms and travel agents, we expect a long-term mutually beneficial partnership to drive growth in bookings.”

The ConNextions Application Programming Interface (API) provides NextTrip’s integrated travel distributors and their downstream partners with the ability to book vacation rentals within their existing reservation systems from NextTrip’s global inventory of vacation rental homes villas, chalets, apartments, condos, resort residences, and even castles. Because NextTrip’s inventory of vacation rental properties is instantly confirmed, the rental can be booked alongside air, car, and other travel reservations as a complete package, the companies say.
