Sandals’ Gary Sadler, Portugal’s Ines Almeida Garret Named as Speakers for ACTA Summit

The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA), has announced that Canadian travel industry icon and Executive Vice President of Sales & Industry Relations at Unique Vacations, Inc., Gary Sadler, as well as Visit Portugal’s new Canadian director, Ines Almeida Garret, will be speaking at all three summits in SEP.

Sadler will be exploring why the future of travel is bright - and will his shares his insights about travel industry trends, key success factors and opportunities on how travel agencies and travel agents can maximize their future.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet Garret, who ACTA says "cannot wait" to meet Canadian advisors at the ACTA Summits after arriving in Canada in APR. Ines will share why Portugal is the "perfect destination" for the Canadian traveller with its variety of offerings, from history and culture, gastronomy and wines, the beaches, surfing, music festivals, great weather and, above all, the Portuguese people.

Sadler and Garret will be joining other previously announced speakers for ACTA's Summits, including Bruce Poon Tip, CEO, G Adventures; Louise Gardiner, CTM, ACTA Board treasurer and VP of the Agency Solution by The Travel Agent Next Door; and Ryan McElroy, CEO of Travel Agency Tribes.

ACTA’s September Summit will include a Grand Trade Show with over 50 exhibitors already confirmed. The trade show will feature up to date product information from top destinations - along with airlines, tour operators, cruise lines and ground transportation exhibitors.

Travel agents are invited to join ACTA for the day on 14SEP in Toronto, 20SEP in Richmond BC and 28SEP in Laval QC. The summits are complimentary for ACTA members. Non-member travel agents are asked to consider making a contribution to ACTA’s Advocacy Fund. Registration includes access to the full-day Summit and trade show, with plated lunch and networking reception with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
