Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

A Royal Pain In The Assets

Harperites are running amok as we speak, Pumpkins, armed with pictures of the Queen of England. Canadian agencies from Dubai to Singapore have until September 15th to hang them, by order of Federal command. Gawd, that is so unfair. I have paintings in the closet from 10 years ago I haven’t gotten around to hanging.

Sovereigntists are so hot right now. Canada’s army is back to being ‘royal’. (Probably after they got a good look at Kate’s sister.) Mugs with royal mugs are everywhere. I have no idea what any of it has to do with good governance of our country, but I’m all for regality.

Maybe Jean Marc should find a fitting place for the Queen on Leo Pariseau. Certainly couldn’t hurt morale none. With gentle Gentiletti and dolly DiLollo (you really can’t say that after 4 apperitifs) gone, there’s sure to be a sense of loss about the place – besides the almost 3 million dollar one. Perhaps I should ship them a painting of myself. I have, after all, inspired many a ship to sail. As a call to arms, I mean. Mine are waiting, boys. No point in weeping into your Nouveau Beaujolais by yourselves.
