Tourist routes have reopened at the ancient site of Petra, Jordan after flash floods hit the area in the last week of 2022. As reported by Breaking Travel News, a spokesman for the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, said, “The site is in the best condition and tourists have been entering the site as usual since yesterday morning [27DEC].” Videos posted to social media showed water flowing down the cliffs around the site and turning tourist walkways into rivers of mud and water.
