East Coast Snowbirds Left Out in the Cold as Sunwing Cancels 2 NB Sun Routes

Following a pattern of service contraction especially in smaller and more remote Canadian cities, Sunwing has apparently cancelled seasonal sun package service from 2 New Brunswick cities to destinations in Cuba, according to CBC News. 

Its report says Sunwing has cancelled weekly service from Moncton to Varadero and Fredericton to Cayo Coco. It adds that the move has left customers and travel agencies “scrambling to make other plans.” CBC also notes that other Sunwing routes from both cities appear to still be in operation.
