MSC Goal: To Become Largest

MSC executives revealed to travel agents attending the christening of MSC Seascape in New York in DEC 2023 that the goal for MSC Cruises is to become the largest cruise company in the world.

According to Achille Staiano, vice president of global sales, the line is already the “dominant cruise brand” in Europe, South America and South Africa and the focus is to now build market share in North America. As reported by Cruise Industry News, MSC will have five ships in North America for the 2023-2024 winter season and World America will be deployed in 2025. Staiano added that MSC  is targeting “cultured cruisers” in the North American market, described as “sophisticated voyagers, open-minded explorers and learning families.”
