Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

Let's Not Confuse Facts With Fiction

Seems ACTA is disappointed in itself, Pumpkins. Well, join the club, dahrlings. The rest of us have been disappointed in ACTA since 1977.

Having fully endorsed and supported a TICO fee increase, ACTA now claims to be “disappointed with TICO’s decision to increase fees”. Perhaps, also like the rest of us, they are experiencing severe menopausings, resulting in memory loss and heated confusion. Where are we? Is there an endorsement deal?

In the ACTA Vision of April 15th appears the following: “the fee increase proposed is palatable in light of the value derived by all travel agencies in Ontario through TICO’s consumer awareness campaigns. This is a good thing for our members.”

Now, I have heard misguided persons in travel express disdain for Pumpkin power. But surely their own association would never underestimate its member’s ability to read. Then again, perhaps I’m the one reading too much into it. You know how it goes – one man’s denial is another’s truth. When Clinton assured Americans that he “never had sex with that woman” he obviously felt fellatio doesn’t count. Perhaps supporting a fee increase but being disappointed when it happens is like that. It doesn’t count.
