According to a new report from travel technology company Amadeus on 02FEB, inconveniences and higher costs are deterring travellers from making sustainable travel choices. The report, which included a survey of more than 10,000 travelers along with 22 industry experts in AUG 2022, showed that 63 per cent of respondents said they wouldn't pay more for a flight that uses biofuel.
As reported by Business Travel News, only 19 per cent were interested in sustainable transport options that required a "notable and obvious sacrifice." One segment of respondents, young business travellers, had 82 per cent say their decisions are influenced by sustainability, but only until “sustainability inconveniences them by having to invest significant [amounts] of their own time and money to be sustainable.”
