Even ChatGPT Says It Won’t Be Replacing Travel Advisors

The latest artificial intelligence (AI) tool isn’t going to replace travel advisors anytime soon, says a new article in Recommend, which tested ChatGPT, a chatbot tool powered by AI. ChatGPT has become a virtual phenomenon over the clarity of its answers, and has raised alarm bells as people worry their jobs will be replaced by a robot.

When asked by Recommend if it was worth using a travel advisor to book a vacation, ChatGPT replied: “Travel advisors can offer expertise and convenience, helping you plan and book your trip with ease.” Recommend also asked the bot to plan a trip to Saint Lucia. When reviewing ChatGPT’s itinerary, one advisor said there is some accuracy “to a degree,” but the bot struggled to pick good accommodations and did not share why someone would prefer one resort over another.
