In the dropping of both indoor and outdoor mask mandates as of Wednesday, 28FEB, Hong Kong ends its final major pandemic restriction. NBC News notes the lifting includes public transit, but masks will still be required in ‘high-risk’ premises which should have little effect on travel and tourism.
The news comes one day after neighbouring Chinese territory Macau dropped its own mask mandate.
