Business, Local Leaders Urge Ottawa to Expand Canadian Trusted-Traveller Program

Canadian Aviation News reports that The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA), Destination Toronto and the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) have announced a new coalition to advocate for improvements at Pearson International and airports across the country.

The Coalition called: Innovate. Travel. Canada (ITC) recognizes the challenges faced by the airline industry while restarting after the COVID-19 pandemic. They are advocating for the expansion of a trusted traveller program that would reduce security inspection of shoes and laptops in order to smooth pax transit through YYZ and other Canadian airports.
