Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

Don't Bank On The Brits

Now I’m not saying anemic British performance is a drag on our intercolonial travel marriages, dahrlings; that they aren’t holding up their end of the baton; that the cheap bastards are giving our bottom line a spanking – but, it’s beginning to feel like we in the colonies are propping up the monarchy.

It’s just like having a deadbeat husband. The only energy the schlump expended was in growing facial hair and passing gas. Never mind – that didn’t last long.

Our economy is firm. Robust. I feel an “I Am Canadian” moment here, Pumpkins! itravel is vacuuming up multicultural colonials like a Molly Maid on steroids. Although some of you might like to plug that vacuum, the point is those “other” Travelzest companies are orange rind to their juice. And why should Sunquest have to justify results to a sagging Empire? Can they do better? I think not.

Call me a nationalist (I’ve heard worse). But at least Transat loses money all on their own. And I bet that feels good.
