Another U.K. Airport Scraps Laptop Check, Liquid Ban as Nationwide Deadline Approaches

London City Airport has introduced new CT scanners, allowing it to drop the ban on liquids over 100ml. Pax can now bring up to two litres of liquid on board and will also no longer need to remove liquids, laptops, or other electronics at the security check.

LCY is the second airport in the U.K. to adopt the new scanners after Teesside International Airport in northern England introduced them in JAN. The British government has set a JUN 2024 deadline for most airports to use CT scanners.
