ChatGPT for Travel Advisors Introduced

Richard Earls, the publisher of Travel Research Online, says he has developed a ChatGPT-based AI assistant called "Oliver." Earls says Oliver was developed specifically to meet the needs of travel advisors and that he focussed on training the assistant with travel language and information.

While ChatGPT does not have access to up-to-date data and so right now cannot assist with itineraries, Earls says it can be used to draft promotional materials or blog posts. He adds that Oliver can also provide specific information that can be hard to find in other ways, like directions from a gate to baggage claim in an airport.
