More Strikes in Germany Affecting Air, Rail Travel 19-21APR

Workers at German airports - DUS, HAM, and CGN - have walked off the job until 21APR, according to Reuters. On 21APR workers at STR will join the strike as well.

Over 700 flights have been cancelled: HAM will be cancelling all departures 20-21APR; STU has cancelled all departures on 21APR; DUS and CGN have not released statements but numerous flights to both airports have also been cancelled.

On 21APR, German rail workers will also strike for 8 hours in the morning, according to Business Travel News Europe. During that time, union officials say no trains will run.

The strikes are the latest in a wave of labour action in Germany affecting transportation services. Unions have been seeking higher pay to address the cost of living crisis.
