Why Marriott, Hyatt and Other Hotel Giants are Going All In on All-Inclusives

Some of the largest hotel chains, including companies like Marriott and Hyatt, are shifting to offer more all-inclusive resorts, observes Forbes. Many of these brands have not had all-inclusive options before.

In the past three years, Marriott alone has gone from offering one all-inclusive to 30. Hilton now operates 13 all-inclusive properties, and Hyatt is now the largest operator of all-inclusive resorts in the world after acquiring Apple Leisure Group in 2021.

According to executives at the hotel chains, the pandemic has fueled the demand for all-inclusives as travellers want to put minimum effort into trips and want details taken care of. However, while previously all-inclusive resorts focussed on keeping guests on the property, in 2023 visitors are looking to venture beyond resort gates and are looking for the freedom to choose.
