Carnival Cruises Reveals New Ocean-Themed Zones Aboard Carnival Jubilee

Stairs connecting the Currents and Shores zones aboard Carnival Jubilee

Carnival Cruises has announced two new ocean-themed zones for Carnival Jubilee, the next ship in its Excel class. The zones are called Currents and The Shores.

Currents, located on Deck 6 and Deck 7, is an underwater-themed zone with new technology, bar and dining venues, and live music. It has six "portals to the sea" comprised of LED windows which, along with a wave-shaped LED ceiling, theatrical show lighting, and sound design, will try to create a variety of immersive environments for guests. New venues within Currents include the Dr. Inks, Ph.D bar, The Golden Mermaid lounge, and Emeril's Bistro 717, a seafood restaurant run by famous chef and restauranteur Emeril Lagasse, as well as long-time Carnival venues Alchemy Bar and Carnival Kitchen.

The Shores, located on Deck 8, is centred around piers, boardwalks and beaches. An three-deck-high fish school art installation rises from Deck 6 up to Deck 8 to bring guests up from the Currents below to the surface. The Shores will include a Ferris wheel-inspired ceiling feature and casual seating areas, both inside and outside, as well as pizza, sandwiches, a bar, and two restaurants: Rudi’s Seagrill and Cucina del Capitano.

Carnival Jubilee will include the established Carnival zones Grand Central, The Ultimate Playground, Summer Landing, and Lido.
