The CEO of Rail Europe says European rail volume last year was “unbelievable.” The sector in Europe saw ridership in 2022 increase to 12 per cent higher than in 2019, according to Karryon. As a company, Rail Europe has returned to 80 per cent of its 2019 sales.
In 2023, he says he expects the sector to be 20-25 per cent larger than in 2019.
