Cunard has cancelled two transatlantic crossings aboard the Queen Mary 2. According to a company statement, Cunard cancelled two sailings scheduled to sail on 23 and 30APR due to technical issues.
As reported by Cruise Industry News, the ship was examined in Southampton for a technical issue on 22APR, which was discovered to take longer than expected to resolve. As a result, 2 voyages, sailing from Southampton to New York and back, respectively, were cancelled due to the same issue.
Cunard did not specify the nature of the issue. According to the line, affected pax will receive full refunds plus a Future Cruise Credit of 20 per cent of the value of their cancelled cruise.
