Days after Disney filed a lawsuit against Florida governor Ron DeSantis and the board he hand-picked to oversee much of Walt Disney World, the board in turn voted unanimously to file its own lawsuit, reports NBCNews.
Disney’s lawsuit aims to keep company operations and development of its Florida properties in the hands of Disney rather than the political appointees, as relations between the Republican state politician and the company have deteriorated over Disney’s repudiation of DeSantis sex-ed laws that were widely seen as trans- and homophobic.
The report does not say on what basis the governor-appointed board’s lawsuit was suing Disney.
