Aeromexico To Resume Montreal-Mexico City Flights December 15th

Aeromexico has confirmed that it will re-start non-stop daily service between Montreal and Mexico City on December 15, 2010. The Mexican carrier had previously launched the route in April 2009 but dropped it less than a year later in January 2010 in the aftermath of Canada’s entry visa requirement for Mexicans and the H1N1 fallout.

These new morning non-stops will provide Canadian travellers the opportunity to connect to Aeromexico’s route network through its hub at Mexico City. The carrier offers service to more than 59 destinations with 500 daily flights.

Aeromexico has also recently launched new routes within the burgeoning Latin American region including service to Bogota, Colombia; Havana, Cuba, and San Jose, Costa Rica as well as additional frequencies to Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo.

“This year has been a very important and exciting year for Aeromexico. We are proud of the airline’s ability to act quickly, open new markets and introduce new products to serve our passengers with improved options and services. The Montreal flight demonstrates Aeromexico’s hard line growth plans and sound presence in a very competitive industry”, said Jorge Goytortua, Senior Vice President of Sales for the North America Division.
