Airline passengers worried about new security scanners revealing their private parts to the eyes of strangers now have a modesty-preserving option: anti-radiation underwear.

Sold by Colorado-based Rocky Flats Gear, the undergarments feature fig leaf patterns to cover sensitive areas. As AFP reports, the leaves are constructed of material promising to "block natural and man-made radiation." According to the company’s website, blocking the rays also means closing the all-revealing eye of the new high-tech body scanners being used in the U.S. and Canada

The U.S. Transportation Security Administration has come under strong public pressure of late over the scanners. Those who opt-out of the scan face a detailed physical search that many passengers find invasive.

Rocky Flats offer a number of options for those seeking the latest in anti-radiation underwear. Choices for men include the Patriot 3 Pack of boxer shorts as well as skimpier briefs, while products aimed at women include the Velvet Privacy Bra.

One question remains, however. If the screeners can’t see through your underwear, will they make you take it off? Or will you have to face the indignity of both a scan and a physical ‘pat-down?’
