DeSantis Might Have Met his Match in Disney’s Iger as Both Sides Dig in

Disney’s clash with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over the “Don’t Say Gay” bill is reportedly seen by many as DeSantis vs. Disney CEO Bob Iger, reports the Washington Post.

In response to Disney criticism over his sex-ed policies perceived as anti-LGBTQ+, DeSantis replaced a Disney-controlled special tax district board of directors with one controlled by himself. Disney responded by enacting a contract clause that allowed the company to veto any changes the new board would make.

Both sides have since filed lawsuits and appear to be digging into their positions, but the article reports many observers believe that DeSantis has started what could be perceived as an anti-business fight against a huge corporate giant and major state job and revenue-creator that “he doesn’t know how to get out of.”
