Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

Whither The Weather Bomb?

If you so much as think the ‘B’ word at an airport, you’re handcuffed, gagged, and strip searched. And I’m not talking about the good kind. So how is it, dear Pumpkins, that these jihadi meteorologist terrorists are allowed to put the fear of God into thousands of relatively agnostic Canadians?

Late yesterday afternoon everyone from Regina to Peterborough was hiding in doorways, fearing for their blooming mums, waiting for the ‘weather bomb’ to blow. Then some rain fell. Ok, ok, Saskatchewan had a rougher ride of it cause they got snow.

Point is, there’s a real double standard at play here. And I’m not talking about the good kind where us gals get to be equal when we want and can unleash a batting pair of innocent eyelashes at the mere whiff of a traffic ticket. (Deal with it, boys.) I’m talking about abuse of power. And not the good kind.

And speaking of fear, the whole of central Toronto is packing up and moving to the more progressive side of the country. Fair warning, Calgary. You’d better make some room for me and my barista.

Over in La Belle Province, ACTA Quebec is having another bit of a tussle with ACTA national. Apparently gag orders have been issued to keep the matter in-house for now. I had a gag order once. Kind of a ‘gab’ order, in my case. But I don’t follow orders very well.
