AeroSvit Airlines and their Canadian GSA, SkyLink’s EuroLink, are celebrating the carrier’s successful return to the Canadian market and took the opportunity on October 7th, the 19th anniversary of Ukranian independence, to host an opulent evening for their supporters at Kings’ Gardens in Toronto.

AeroSvit is now the national carrier of Ukraine, comprised of 4 partners under the UAG Alliance. They operate 60 international routes to 29 countries as well as a domestic Ukraine network.

AeroSvit discontinued its Canadian route last year but reinstated twice weekly YYZ-IEV service again this year and have their sights set on daily service. Not really that surprising an ambition considering Canada is home to about 1.2 million Ukranian-Canadians. The carrier also provides connections to MOW, DEL and TLV which perfectly suits the YTO demographic as evidenced by their special guests and agent honourees.

The EuroLink folks, masters of market penetration and commerce, are lobbying for more YYZ presence for their partner. SkyLink CEO Surjit Babra has shown his commitment by changing his handle to Boris, the Ukranian Sikh. How can they not succeed?
