U.S. Long Weekend Travel: TSA Performs Most Passenger Screenings Since 2019

On 26MAY, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) saw its highest number of passenger screenings since 2019, reports TravelMole.

According to the TSA, 2.71 million passengers were screened at airports that day, an increase from 25MAY by about 100,000 passengers. The highest number of travellers on record occurred on 01DEC 2019, with more than 2.8 million.

TSA Administrator David Pekoske expected about 10 million passengers over the course of the four-day American holiday weekend.
