Air Canada to add Netflix, Disney, Apple TV+ to free WiFi

Air Canada plans to offer free inflight WiFi on its regional network and eventually extend the service to mainline domestic and international flights, reports Executive Traveller

As bandwidth and capabilities grow, Mark Nasr, Air Canada’s Executive Vice President Marketing and Digital, said travellers will be able to sign into their own accounts on streaming content services, including Netflix, Disney Plus, Apple TV+, Spotify, Hayu, SportsNet and DAZN.

The airline started by introducing free unlimited messaging on apps such as WhatsApp, WeChat, Apple iMessage and Google Messages on 15MAY.
