Maritime Travel Acquires 3 ATCO Travel Offices

Maritime Travel has completed the acquisition of ATCO Travel. The 3 former ATCO Travel locations will be known as Maritime Travel and the addition of these locations will bring Maritime Travel to 91 locations coast to coast with just under 400 employees.

ATCO Travel is located in Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa and was a division of Alberta based ATCO Ltd. This follows Maritime Travel's recent expansion throughout British Columbia, strengthening the company's foothold in the western Canada markets.

"We are pleased to welcome ATCO Travel to the Maritime Travel family," said Gary Gaudry, President. "The addition of ATCO Travel will increase our business travel operations and presence in western Canada."

Since 1949, Maritime Travel has grown to become one of Canada's largest independent travel companies in Canada, operating as Maritime Travel, LeGrow's Travel in Newfoundland and Labrador and Voyages Maritime in Quebec and northern New Brunswick.

Maritime Travel has been named one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies for the past 12 years.
