Vaccinations will add to the layer of protection against COVID-19, but will not replace the layered protocols such as masks and social distancing, says Brian Salerno, CLIA’s SVP of Maritime Policy. Salerno also noted the cruise industry is now "in a very different place" than it was a year ago: "What we have discovered through working with experts, health officials and epidemiologists, what it actually takes to protect ourselves, protect our passengers, protect our crew and protect our destinations when we operate.”
