Among Porter's new services debuting last week were the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport-based carrier's new year-round service to Moncton from Toronto via Ottawa.
“This newly launched service allows passengers to connect beyond Ottawa or Toronto, to enjoy many options within Porter’s growing network,” said Porter's President and CEO Robert Deluce during inaugural ceremonies with special guests, politicians and local business representatives at Greater Moncton International Airport.
For the summer season, two daily roundtrips are available until September 7th. The fall schedule includes four weekly flights, with daily roundtrips on Thursday and Friday, and twice daily service on Sunday.
Rounding out the new series of summer route start-ups, Porter Airlines introduced non-stop service between Montreal and Halifax, with connecting flights onward to St. John’s. The service features two daily roundtrips.
“There is a lot of potential in linking two of Porter’s leading markets,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. "Short-haul travel from the Atlantic region has never been easier.”
A schedule of two daily roundtrips is available for the summer season until September 6th. Following this date, the frequency adjusts to four weekly roundtrips in the fall. This service features one roundtrip flight on Thursday and Friday, as well as two on Sunday. The new routing also makes available up to six daily flights between Halifax and Toronto via Ottawa or Montreal.
