New Carrier, Connect Airlines, Eyes Launch from Billy Bishop

With U.S. pre-clearance now available at Billy Bishop airport, as-yet-unlaunched, U.S.-based Connect Airlines is looking to leverage the opportunity to fly to Northeast U.S. cities such as Chicago and Philadelphia, reports City News Toronto.

The company has acquired two aircraft and is waiting to take delivery of three more. Pending regulatory approval, operations could begin by the end of 2023, according to City News Toronto.

As Open Jaw reported, Porter is the only airline flying to the U.S. from Billy Bishop at the moment.
