A recent study conducted by Kuoni reveals that LGBTQ+ couples are increasingly considering destinations where same-sex partnerships are not accepted, reports Travel Weekly.
According to the study, out of over 1,000 respondents, 44 per cent of LGBTQ+ travellers prioritise the overall destination experience over LGBTQ+ friendliness. However, 57 per cent actively seek LGBTQ+ friendly destinations, with many same-sex couples planning a honeymoon having done their own research before they speak to a travel company.
The study also highlights countries like Barbados, Antigua & Barbuda, St Kitts & Nevis and Singapore, which have repealed anti-gay legislation.
