Robbie Goldberg Shelves Plans For Direct Save Holidays Launch
Open Jaw

Robbie Goldberg will not be launching his planned Direct Save Holidays, the direct to consumer tour operator as announced this past October.

Goldberg was the founder of Conquest Vacations.

Goldberg says that a number of factors have influenced his plan negatively since its inception, including the continued pressure of market share driven pricing and industry consolidation of tour operators in Canada. He also cited a lack of response from Cuban tourism authorities, a major destination in Direct Save's plans.

“We wish to thank the many hotels, the Mexican authorities and our air carrier partners that embraced and supported our marketing concept,” said Goldberg. “We regret having to make this decision, but financial prudence and the ever diminishing time frame drove this result.”
