Strong Travel Demand Will Drive 'Meaningful Earnings' for Air Canada: Analyst

Air Canada is expected to see strong financial results, including improved earnings and cash flow due to robust travel demand in Canada during the peak summer period, reports Yahoo Finance.

Despite concerns over sustainability of demand and pricing, a National Bank Financial analyst believes Air Canada's performance will benefit from positive market conditions throughout 2023 and 2024. The cost of air travel has increased from pre-pandemic levels, indicating a favourable pricing environment.

Although Air Canada faces increased competition in the domestic market, the airline’s strong position is attributed to its extensive global and regional networks, as well as its Aeroplan loyalty program.
