American Airlines Union Postpones Vote for Contract Agreement

American Airlines’ pilot union has postponed the ratification vote for a tentative contract agreement, reports the Globe and Mail.

American Airlines pilots were due to vote on 24JUL after the company raised the value of its contract offer to pilots by more than USD $1 billion on 21JUL, bringing the four-year proposed contract's total value to USD $9 billion. The union had earlier warned that ratification was in jeopardy. The voting will now take place “at a date and time to be determined,” the union said.

At the time of publication, American Airlines had not provided a comment in response.
