itravel2000, a Travelzest company, has announced their appointment as the Official Leisure Travel Partner with the Royal Canadian Golf Association as they rebrand this spring to become Golf Canada!

“More than 6 million Canadians will golf 70 million rounds this year alone! These numbers are staggering and cannot be ignored,” notes Jonathan Carroll, President, itravel2000. “And we’re thrilled that the RCGA, now Golf Canada, has the vision and means to reach these golfers and shape the future of golf in Canada.”

RCGA wanted to break away from their traditional image to appeal to masses and invigorate their membership base. As such, they will be offering both value-added and travel options involving golf and leisure travel created by itravel2000 to strengthen and grow both their member base and 1600 Golf Clubs across Canada. The offers will be available exclusively to Golf Canada through a dedicated password protected website.

“We have talked to golfers across Canada asking them what they would like to see in the way of an enhanced Golf Canada membership value proposition. Golf travel consistently ranked in the top three membership benefits that golfers wanted to see as a membership benefit, “ said Ron Gardner, Managing Director, Membership Development and Services for Golf Canada. “We are thrilled to have itravel2000, a true market leader in the travel sector, as our travel partner for the Golf Canada Member program.”
