Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

Nobody's Fool

Did your clients think they were leaving on a jet plane called Skyservice today? Ha! Ha! Not so funny, eh, Pumpkins. For the Titans running this business, there’s no such thing as playing nice. And yesterday, someone released the Kraken.

For the rest of us mortals, airline failure means another clean-up on runway 9.

The thing about travel is, you’ve gotta get somewhere. Which means you need planes. And let’s face it, Pumpkins, when they get old and expensive to operate … they get traded in for a trophy wife. But let’s not dwell on the past…

Point is, competitive posturing for the last decade was based on having the most retailers. In this latest round of travel’s evolution, airlines are the trading stock of vertical integration. So I predict a whole lot more air turbulence before the year is up.

Before wishing all the dear Pumpkins a Very Happy Easter weekend, allow me to clarify a few misconceptions:

  1. TICO does not regulate, oversee or monitor airlines, be they in Ontario or elsewhere.
  2. Airlines fall under federal regulations.
  3. Nobody’s going to save us.
  4. The Great White Bunny is on his way.
