WestJet has launched it's new non-stop service between Edmonton and Kahului, Maui. The inaugural flight departed the Edmonton International Airport at 7:30 a.m. MST Friday, March 5th.

"It is with great pleasure that WestJet can offer non-stop flights from Edmonton to the Hawaiian island of Maui to our guests over the next few months," said Hugh Dunleavy, WestJet Executive Vice-President of Strategy and Planning. "We knew the interest was there and we are confident that this service will be extremely popular with those folks who are eager to escape Alberta's unpredictable spring weather."

WestJet will fly between Edmonton and Maui once weekly each Friday until April 30th, 2010.

One-way fares, in both directions on non-stop flights only, are available from $289, plus applicable taxes and fees.

As part of its 2010 summer schedule, WestJet will also fly non-stop from Edmonton to San Francisco with one-way fares starting at $99, plus applicable fees and taxes. WestJet is also expanding its seasonal service from Edmonton to Cancun to include year-round service with one-way fares starting at $264, plus applicable fees and taxes.
