According to Caribbean Journal, Marriott's Westin Beach Resort in St Thomas is now open for business.
The largest resort in the U.S. Virgin Islands marks a boost for the region's tourism industry, which has been experiencing record-breaking numbers since the beginning of the pandemic.
The resort, a USD $350 million project, is a transformation of the former Marriott Frenchman's Reef resort that was severely damaged by Hurricane Irma in 2017.
Perched on a cliffside overlooking Morningstar Beach, the 384-room property offers views, five dining concepts, and a spa set to open soon. It will host major events such as the Caribbean Hotel Investment Conference and Operations Summit.
