WestJet has announced that it will begin weekly seasonal non-stop service between Toronto and Samana, Dominican Republic, on June 5th, 2010. WestJet will also begin weekly seasonal service between Montreal and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic June 5th.
The airline currently serves Punta Cana, Puerto Plata and La Romana from Toronto's Pearson International Airport.
"We are very excited to provide even more service to the Dominican Republic," said Chris Avery, Vice-President, WestJet Vacations. "Both Bahia Principe and AMHSA Marina Hotels are thrilled to have WestJet and WestJet Vacations servicing Samana. It is a relatively new destination and a rapidly growing part of the Dominican Republic."
