Hurricane Lee Disrupts Major Cruise Line Itineraries

Hurricane Lee's rapid intensification to a Category 5 has prompted major cruise lines to alter their itineraries, reports Cruise Blog.

Disney Cruise Line was among the first to change, shifting an 8-night Bermuda cruise to the Western Caribbean. Carnival Venezia will now sail from New York to The Bahamas instead of the Eastern Caribbean. Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas, along with Adventure of the Seas and Vision of the Seas, have also adjusted their routes.

The storm is moving northwest in the Atlantic with sustained winds near 120 mph, threatening coastal regions with dangerous surf and rip currents. Travellers are reminded of the unpredictability during hurricane season.
