The $1,600-a-Night London Peninsula That Was 30 Years in the Making

The Peninsula has finally arrived in London, over 30 years after beginning its search for a London location, reports CNN Travel.

The hotel opened on 12SEP and is one of many luxury hotels opening in London this year. However, it is one of the few purpose-built five-star hotels in the city, with many brands opting to convert existing buildings instead.

The hotel holds 190 rooms and suites, 25 luxury residences, a rooftop restaurant, and a spa with a 25-meter indoor swimming pool. The hotel has been designed to “service both visitors and local residents,” with a coffee shop and a retail arcade located on the premises.
