Pax More Likely to Book Flights With Inflight WiFi and Sacrifice For the Privilege: Survey

According to Paddle Your Own Kanoo, airline passengers prioritize inflight WiFi, with many willing to make sacrifices for the benefit, a recent survey revealed.

Commissioned by Viasat, a provider of inflight WiFi services, the study found that passengers rank WiFi higher than free food, drink, entertainment, and even legroom. WiFi is now second only to ticket price in influencing airline choice. Only half of the 11,000 respondents would not pay for it.

Many would accept advertising or give up complimentary drinks and loyalty points for free WiFi access, the survey found.
